Amendment to existing Club Disciplinary Chart:

The state of the clubs discipline was discussed in some length and it was agreed that we would be implementing a new code of conduct points system for the 2006/07 season with regard to yellow/red cards received.

The new code of conduct was to be given to all players before the start of the season along with their registration forms and it was also to be posted on the clubs website.

The new code of conduct was proposed by Jamie Bird and seconded by Paul Kennedy.

AOB:

GA said that Ian Breeze was not happy with the amount of weeds on the pitches and he had suggested that we should withhold rent money until it had been rectified. GC suggested that this should be put in writing to the association which NN was going to do.

PK reported that the 1st XI would be playing the SAL Rep Team on 24/9/06 for the annual ‘champions’ game vs. the rep team.

AM said that a link had been set up with a physio at Southgate Hockey centre who was willing to treat any injuries for a reduced fee through the club, details would be posted on the website.

GC commented on the Vets teams and the lack of players not playing Vets football anymore. The idea was put forward to hold a game between the Vets team and a team compromising of ex players that no longer played. (Sat 23rd December was suggested as a possible date for this game.

CM reported that there was a good attendance for training session at the school, however there was a lack of equipment for the players outside of the 1’s/2’s teams/squads.

GW had a number of issues/matters to report upon. We have been asked that we have no home games on the 18th Nov as a favour for Colin as there was a wedding reception being held at the club that day, there was a possibility of going back to PBCC for a drink if needed, PK was going to look into the possibility.

The SAL had a few notices to be given out to clubs for the season – there was a players code of conduct introduced to the SAL handbook, the use of a match day delegate had been approved by the league, absolutely no jewellery was to be worn by any player, the referee’s mark was no out of 100 and finally public liability insurance was to become compulsory for 2007/8.

GW also reported that the 1st home game would be the 16th Sept, but Tim Lane had only allowed 1 home game that day, there was a possibility of an earlier KO for one game and also playing at Owens school. All pitches would be ready by the 23rd Sept.

GC said that Mark Lloyd should sit on the association meetings so that there was more of a link between the club and the association.

TP asked about Old Owens Youth and if there was an affiliation to Old Owens FC, CB then reported that Old Owens Youth would not be going ahead anyway.

JB commented on the state of the showers, however it was reported that Tim Lane had electricians on site during the weeks to try and sort these out and get them working properly. It was suggested that we maybe invite Tim Lane to a couple of meetings for the football club to raise any concerns/issues with him directly.

The lack of school kids/6th formers playing for Owens was discussed as it was felt that we could benefit from having more players available and it was suggested that Adam cotton was spoken to regarding this matter.

JS asked if the committee was going to fund the club photo of the 1st XI league winning team that would take place before the SAL Rep game. This was agreed by the committee.

Two dates were added to the diary for the following season – the dinner would take place on the 21st April, and the 6-a-side competition was pencilled in for 26th August.

The AGM concluded at 10pm.
